Group Members

  • Svetlana Cecovic – Head of the group, PhD, School of Philology assistant professor & scientific collaborator at the University of Louvain. Professional interests: Translation Studies, cultural transfer and the figure of the translator. Works on French and English translations of Dostoevsky, including the very early ones. 
  • Eugenia Kelbert – PhD, School of Philology assistant professor. Professional interests: Translation Studies, autotranslation, translation and style, Digital Humanities; focuses on English, French and German translations of Dostoevsky.  
  • Iris Baecker – PhD, School of Philology assistant professor. Professional interests: Translation Studies, the figure of the translator. Responsible for German translations of Dostoevsky. 
  • Anna Sabashnikova – PhD, School of Philology senior lecturer & translator. Professional interests: Translation Studies and reception. Works on French translations of Dostoevsky. 

 

  • Anna Gaydenko – fourth-year School of Philology student, interested in French literature and Translation Studies; works on French translations of Dostoevsky.
  • Maria Krivosheina – School of Philology lecturer & postgraduate student; interested in journal Russian-English translations; concentrates on English and German Dostoevsky.
  • Zarko Milenic – second-year student of HSE master’s programme ‘Comparative Studies: Russian Literature in Cross-cultural Perspective’, wrter and translator. Interested in Translation Studies, especially in translations into Serbian, Croatian and Macedonian. 
  • Olga Nechaeva – second-year student of HSE master’s programme ‘Comparative Studies: Russian Literature in Cross-cultural Perspective’.
  • Anastasia Novikova – fourth-year School of Philology student; responsible for French translations of Dostoevsky.
  • Elizaveta Timofeeva – graduate of HSE master’s programme ‘Comparative Studies: Russian Literature in Cross-cultural Perspective’. Professional interests: Russian literature of the first half of the 19th century and V. Zhukovsky; Russian Modernist literature and N. Gumilev; European Romanticism and its reflections in Russian literature. Works on English translations of Dostoevsky and on an individual project entitled N. S. Gumilev as S.-T. Coleridge's Translator. 
  • Maria Trenikhina – School of Philology lecturer & second-year student of HSE master’s programme ‘Comparative Studies: Russian Literature in Cross-cultural Perspective’. Interests: Translation Studies, cultural transfer, Russian literature of the beginning of the 20th century and sociology of literature. Works on English translations of Dostoevsky.
  • Anastasia Filonova – first-year student of HSE master’s programme ‘Comparative Studies: Russian Literature in Cross-cultural Perspective’. Concentrates on English translations of Dostoevsky.
  • Eugenia Shlosman – fourth-year School of Philology student; works on an individual project dedicated to Russian translations and adaptations of Uncle Tom's Cabin.
