The Neurolinguistics Lab is behind the polar circle!

The conference was held at the Heart of Finnish Lapland April 2-5

Two lab members - Olga Dragoy and Nikolay Novitskiy - have presented the achivements of the Lab at Finnish Lapland. Olga Dragoy has told about "Processing spatial linguistic constructions by monolingual and bilingual speakers of Russian" and Nikolay Novitskiy has presented a talk on "ERP effects of cross-linguistic phonologic and semantic overlap in L2 acquisition: evidence for shared bilingual lexicon". Participants of the conference "Learning and Plasticity" had to show their cognitive plasticity to get the Äkäslompolo village that is located on the northern side of the Ylläs Fell. The Head of our laboratory Olga Dragoy went to the conference place by kick-sled every day. The reward to the most flexible and trainable participants was the Lappish wooden chair.
