Natalia Nikiforova participated in the international workshop in Saint Petersburg

Research Fellow of IGITI Natalia Nikiforova participated in the international workshop “Philosophy and Technology in Pre- and Post-Revolutionary Petersburg (1866-1932)”, held by the Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University and Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germany) in Saint-Petersburg (26 – 29 September 2018). 

The workshop covered the themes of philosophy of technology and interaction of technology and art at the turn of the XX century. Natalia Nikiforova moderated the discussions on history of technology and presented a paper “Technoscientific Loci in Sci-Fi and Utopian Literature of the XIX Century” on spatial representations and utopian imagination in literature of the XIX century.
