Nadia Moro delivered a talk on Herbart's philosophy at the Conference of the Society for the Study of the History of Analytical Philosophy in Calgary (Alberta, Canada)

Nadia Moro delivered a talk at the Conference of the Society for the Study of the History of Analytical Philosophy in Calgary (Alberta, Canada), May 08-10, 2017. Nadia reported about "Johann Friedrich Herbart’s critical realism and its relevance to the development of analytical philosophy". She introduced the post-Kantian metaphysician Herbart and focused on some recent Italian and French functionalist interpretations of his methodology and ontology (by R. Pettoello, C. Maigné, and P. Valore). Nadia illustrated how the innovative, relational aspects of Herbart's general theory of inference and his conceptual account of the being helped shape ideas which which influenced early analytical philosophy.
