The paper dealt with the little studied joint Soviet-German expedition to the Pamirs in 1928. Drawing on published as well as unpublished sources, the speaker presented several points of view of the participants of this event, which differed from each other in significant respects. The presentation was attended by the Head of the Institute of European Studies, Prof. Wolfgang Kissel, the Institute's research fellow Dr. Alla Koiten, students of different BA and MA programs and Bremen residents interested in history.
