Vladislav Staf participated in the 5th annual conference of International Federation for Public History (IFPH), which took place on August 21-24 in the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of the University of Sao Paulo (EACH — USP), Sao Paulo, Brazil. Vladislav presented a paper "Gulag history in camp museums of the region of Perm: some narratives of human rights defenders and prison guards" in the "Difficult Heritage" session.
On July 17 IGITI Chief Research Fellow Christian Fleck presented in a session "History of Empirical Methods in Sociology". The session was a part of XIX International Sociological Association World Congress of Sociology – Power, Violence and Justice: Reflections, Responses and Responsibilities.
On June 21-22 international conference "Soviet States and Beyond: Political Epistemologies of/and Marxism 1917-1945-1968" was held at IGITI. The conference was focused on the political epistemology of intellectuals, primarily scholars working in the field of humanities and sciences, as well as artists and writers.
Associate Professor Anna Guseva from HSE’s School of History is a participant in the CAA-Getty International Program and attended this year’s College Art Association Conference.
