Grant Competition for Creating Spoken Language Corpora

The International Linguistic Convergence laboratory organized a grant competition for creating spoken language corpora. The submission of applications ended on June 25. The organizer of the event and the head of the laboratory Nina Dobrushina talks about the goals of the competition and why recording spoken language is important.

On June 27-28, 2017, Julia Ivanova and Pavel Sokolov, leading research fellows of IGITI, held three seminars for the students of the Institute for Slavic Studies at Cologne University. The seminars opened a new course "Iter Italicum Slavorum" aimed to explore how Italy and Italian culture were perceived in the Slavic world.
