HSE University partnered with the First Eurasian Congress of Linguists dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). The congress served as a platform for discussing relevant issues in linguistics related to all language groups of Eurasia and other regions worldwide. Approximately 200 researchers from 46 foreign countries and 300 Russian linguists from 50 regions of Russia participated in the event. 

On December 1, the HSE Faculty of Humanities celebrated its 10th anniversary. In honour of the occasion, HSE leaders, representatives of other universities, and members of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) gathered at the university’s Cultural Centre to congratulate the faculty.

The Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad) recently hosted an International Congress entitled ‘The World Concept of Philosophy’ in honour of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the philosopher and thinker Immanuel Kant. The event brought together about 500 scientists and experts from 23 countries. HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov took part in the opening plenary session of the congress titled ‘Critique of Artificial Intelligence: Being and Cognition in the Context of Artificial Intelligence Development.’

From June 27 to 28, 2022, a Summer Neurolinguistic School was held, which is being held for the ninth time by the Center for Language and Brain of the Higher School of Economics. This year's topic was "Experimental studies of ethnic languages of Russia".

The annual conference of NESEEES (North East Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies, New York, USA) was held online on April 30. Laboratory's research assistant Maria Ivanova took part in the conference and had a presentation "Smolensk province after the War of 1812 in mental geography: between symbolic glory and economic marginalization".
